Last Day Of #Movember, Still Time For N2D's Russ Gordon

Is it really worth taking a month to raise awareness and money for the issue of men's health, specifically prostate cancer?

Yes. Yes it is. That's why our own writer/stuntman/photographer Russ Gordon has rejoined the prestigious CBC Radio 3 #Movember team.

Check out the Team CBC Radio 3 Movember gallery. (click on OPEN GALLERY)

Thank you to everybody who donated to me AND the incredible Team CBC Radio 3!

Show Russ some love, ONE DOLLAR at a time! Donate HERE or to the team HERE.

Get checked. It's YOUR ass, don't just sit on it.

What Happens Next? The Dan Mangan Documentary

The night before musician Dan Mangan plays the biggest concert of his life, he invites a few close friends over for a poker game and explores the ideas of fate, destiny and the daunting question... what happens next?

Winning America: CBC Radio 3's first documentary - National debut

What does it take for a Canadian indie band to make it in the States? That's the topic addressed by Winning America, the first documentary produced by CBC Radio 3. Airing Sat., Apr. 7 on CBC-TV (9 a.m. PST/noon EST), it follows the ups and downs of Vancouver band Said the Whale as they look for the elusive recipe to success in the U.S. Directed by Brent Hodge, the documentary is funny, poignant and has a message for any band, anywhere, hoping to beat the odds and make it big. If you missed them last October when they played Pontiac, it's also a great way to "meet" the band before they play Windsor's Capitol Theatre on Mon., Apr. 16 and PJ's Lager House on Tues., Apr. 17, with fellow Vancouverites Chains of Love.

N2D Did Movember

Thanks for donating to a great cause. I might keep it.

Is it really worth taking a month to raise awareness and money for the often ignored issue of men's health, specifically prostate cancer?

Yes. Yes it is. And we thank all of you who donated to the cause.

We here at N2D congratulate our own writer/stuntman/photographer Russ Gordon who threw his face into the ring as a member of the prestigious CBC Radio 3 #Movember team. The team raised $7400 as this goes to post. Not too bad, eh?

Don't stop now. Get involved. Stay involved.

Winning America: CBC Radio 3's first documentary premieres Jul. 23

What does it take for a Canadian indie band to make it in the States? That's the topic addressed by Winning America, the first documentary produced by CBC Radio 3. Airing on CBC TV BC (only, unfortunately) on Sat., Jul. 23, it follows the ups and downs (including the now famous "Jacked in the Sac" and mustard incidents) of Vancouver band Said the Whale as they look for the elusive recipe to success in the U.S.. hoping to leave their day jobs behind and devote themselves to music full-time. We had the distinct pleasure of viewing the documentary at a screening this past weekend. Directed by Brent Hodge, the documentary is funny, poignant and has a message for any band, anywhere, hoping to beat the odds and make it big.
